Apply for an ED visa at the Thai Embassy / consulate

  • Who is eligible?
    Everyone who wants to apply for an ED Visa, study and stay up to 1 year in Thailand should contact the office directly. Depending on the passport you hold we may require extra documents, such as a bank statement or criminal record check.

  • What is the process?
    1. Once we have received the required documents from you, either by visiting the school or applying online. We will submit everything to the Ministry of Education. This process takes about 3-4 weeks, we then receive an approval letter.

    2. Subsequently when you have received all the visa paperwork from us, you must submit them to a Thai Embassy or consulate of your choice to get the Non -Immigrant ED Visa. Please check the Thai Embassy/Consulate website for their fees.

    3. When you arrive in Thailand the Thai immigration officer will stamp your passport and give you a 3 month stamp first, and you will extend then every 3 months at the immigration office for a total of 1 year.

    4. As soon as you arrive in Samut Prakan with your visa you must come to school so we can process the next step and inform you.

    **If you plan to leave the country during the year, then you MUST apply for a re entry stamp at immigration before you leave, otherwise your ED Visa will be cancelled.**

**The price doesn’t include the visa fees at the Thai Embassy/consulate and the visa extension fee at the immigration.**
